mj care green tea essence mask

Hey guys! I hope you read my update post yesterday talking about my new partnership with Efacemasks.com (as well as all of my health progress, WOOT~). Because of Efacemasks I’m able to bring you this review today; I’m so glad for this partnership because I can review more masks for you guys!

So my skin’s been a little stupid lately (hormones?) and it’s all gross and broken out. When looking through the sheet masks Efacemask sent me I wanted to try something that might help my acne. Green Tea marketing usually means anti-acne, so I decided to try the MJ Care Green Tea mask first (the packaging also says it’s “clearing”). I had two of them, which means I got to try it out twice, I got to know the mask better, and got to see how it performs over a couple of uses.

Hey guys, I’m still feeling kinda cruddy over here. Stupid Lyme. The good news is, now I’m totally caught up on Game of Thrones just in time to prevent everyone from spoiling the latest episode (:

Innisfree It’s Real Pomegranate Sheet Mask

When I’m feeling crappy I like to cheer myself up with a good dose of skincare pampering. I have nearly every sheet mask from the “Innisfree It’s Real” line and it’s about time I start getting through them! What’s cool is this time I took before and after shots. What a helpful tool that is! I always think when I try a sheet mask that they are either so-so or really great (because the results are SO OBVI and I don’t need pictures) but sometimes it’s not possible to notice a result without seeing it in pictures, and this is one case where that is true.

Hey guys, I haven’t been feeling so hot lately. In my last update I was doing rather well, but now my meds are different and stronger, so I’ve been weak and in pain again. With the meds I take, that’s a good thing because it will kill the Lyme, but because of feeling crappy I’ve had to scale back again and make sacrifices. Fewer game nights, more lying in bed watching K-Dramas, more kitty snuggles, slower blog posts. It sucks you know?

But here’s some good news, and it came at such a perfect time because I had been feeling like butts.

You probably already know I created a community on reddit (/r/asianbeauty), heck maybe you’re even a part of it. Usually we chit-chat about different skincare and makeup we love, and talk about products we bought or what we want to buy. I mentioned that I wanted to try the Skin79 Snail BB Cream, and a fellow redditor offered to send me some samples. I asked if she’d like me to send her anything, and she was like: No man, I’m good. What a sweetheart <3   Well, I had forgotten all about it, what with everything going on.   And then MAGICALLY this package with a lovely thank you card appeared in my mailbox:

Hey guys, I’m so excited to share with you my latest haul, from the Land of the Rising Sun: Japan!! I didn’t go myself (I wish!) but a friend of mine was visiting Japan and offered to pick up a few things for me, how fortunate, right?!

Granted, I was *supposed* to be on a no-buy, but it’s not every day I can ask a friend to walk into a shop in Japan and pick up some things for me. I gave him a budget of around 5000 Yen (~$53 USD) and a few specifications. I didn’t feel too picky because no matter what he bought I was sure I’d like it (if not, I could trade it). I was not disappointed!

Hey guys, been a while! I couldn’t post because my Lyme Disease was bad again >: (read about my struggle with Lyme Disease here). *Apparently* the meds I was on to help control infections were ineffective, so I felt much worse than I should be feeling. My doc switched me to some new ones and says I should be feeling great soon. Besides that being amazeballs excellent news it also means more blog posts!!
