Hey guys, I’m still feeling kinda cruddy over here. Stupid Lyme. The good news is, now I’m totally caught up on Game of Thrones just in time to prevent everyone from spoiling the latest episode (:

Innisfree It’s Real Pomegranate Sheet Mask

When I’m feeling crappy I like to cheer myself up with a good dose of skincare pampering. I have nearly every sheet mask from the “Innisfree It’s Real” line and it’s about time I start getting through them! What’s cool is this time I took before and after shots. What a helpful tool that is! I always think when I try a sheet mask that they are either so-so or really great (because the results are SO OBVI and I don’t need pictures) but sometimes it’s not possible to notice a result without seeing it in pictures, and this is one case where that is true.

I hunted around but I couldn’t find a translated ingredient list, if you found one or can translate from Korean, let me know and I will post it up and credit you for being an awesome helper.

When I went to tear open the mask, I almost caught the mask in the packaging. It was right at the top seam, so when you open yours, be careful not to tear open your package carelessly!

Exciting picture of me wearing this mask.

I keep my masks on for as long as possible before taking them off. Usually an hour. This mask had pretty good moisture and lasted well.

I think this formula is supposed to be safe for sensitive skin (but if you’re allergic to any of the botanical ingredients that won’t be true for you). Even so, something about it felt a little stingy, I wish I had an ingredient list to see if there’s fruit acids or other things. I was sorta expecting my face to be red and angry after using the mask but it wasn’t.

Look at how much redness is gone!

Instead, it looked balanced, whiter, and LES RED. Goes to show taking before/after photos is a big help!

The Good:

  • This mask is cheap! I bought mine from Roseroseshop for like $0.60 during a sale. Most stores are around $1.
  • It fits my face nicely
  • Moisturizing, as nearly all sheet masks are.
  • Smell is not annoying (not much of a smell really)
  • Restored balance to my skin.

The Bad:

  • Asian products can be a pain, if you’re scared of buying online, or waiting for overseas shipping. Products like this can be hard to find sometimes, especially if you are new to Asian beauty.
  • Felt a little bit of a stinging sensation (nothing bad) but surprisingly did not cause irritation.
  • Not as moisturizing so don’t pick this mask for that.

Bottom line: I’d buy it again, it was good at taking down the redness. Chances are though, I’ll keep trying new masks instead. It’s not an HG (holy grail) product, but it did perform well.

Have you tried it or other “Innisfree It’s Real” products?

    Rachel,
    Thanks for sharing your blog!

I hope you like masks, some of my faves have been reviewed here. A good way to find them is to look for the “categories” on the sidebar and click “reviews”. I have a penchant for My Beauty Diary masks (:

Nice!! Glad it worked! Do you happen to have any innisfree samples?

    Tiffany Martin Reply:

    Eva,

I think I have some Innisfree samples, not sure because I have so many samples~ I have really been excited to try more of their masks now, though. The results of this one were surprisingly good.

Haven’t tried this brand before. I’m still trying to get myself to make the time to sit still for a sheet mask — they fall off your face if you’re doing too much multi-tasking… but maybe tonight will be the night to pull one out! This one sounds pretty standard — and glad it performed well for you… better than the black “whitening mask”!

    Natasha,

How well they stay on definitely depends on the mask, and the activity you’re doing, too, haha. I usually set up a tv show episode and the mask so that it will not need to move while I watch. I feel like a little sheet mask princess.

I don’t know it sounds like if you’re always moving that you don’t get enough relax time ^_^

Oh that whitening mask DID work though!! And I think it was so sweet of you to send it, you’re such a generous person ^_^

Your skin looks so even! I mean I don’t think you’d even need to wear a foundation because your skin is already beautiful! I wonder what causes the stinging sensation from the mask? I’m interested on Innisfree brand and might try on this sheet mask if I could find it on sale!

    Shazil,

Thank you! I was really surprised how good it looked! It’s not true though, I definitely still need base makeups, I get acne and so I have to hide it somehow (: Also my pores are so big.

I don’t know what makes the stinging, maybe it’s my own sensitivity? If you can find it you should try it, hopefully it won’t sting you. The results for me were very good.

I hope you see this comment, I noticed you have been posting again too! I hope this means your Lupus is giving you less of a hard time. You write good posts and I love your blog ^_^

I am always left wondering whether they make a difference to me. Haha. I should try a before and after shot. By the way, I think you look less scary with one of those masks on than anyone else I’ve ever seen wear one. xD I look so, so creepy.

    Bethany,

You should DEF try before and after shots, even if you are too shy to post them because YOU might see a difference! I was very surprised so I will always do them now.

I like how scary they make people look because you can mess with your friends, haha, thanks for saying I look less scary. No way people can look normal wearing a sheet mask (:

Wow, it really does look like a noticeable difference! When I’m feeling a bit stressed or down, I always enjoy a bit of skin pampering too.

It definitely is so noticeable! Most masks have a more subtle effect (like moisturizing), so I was very surprised.

I love wearing masks to feel like a princess (: What do you like to do to pamper?

Thanks for the review! I’ve been looking into getting some innisfree masks because by the time it’s shipped here, I’ll be dealing with back to school stress. I use a face mask for some pampering, too. ^_^

    Tiffany Martin Reply:

    Sonya,

I love to just sit and relax with a cooling mask on my face (: then when I take it off, my skin is improved too. I feel the effects for a couple of days sometimes, and I think long-term it’s good skincare maintenance. School stress is bad for skin, so I hope you can take good care of yours ^_^

    Thank you for commenting ^_^
