Okay, you guys totally know I’m obsessed with cute things, right? And if you ask me, Sanrio makes the cutest of the cute. Hello Kitty, naturally being one of my faves, has been all over the place lately. Usually I can’t find anything outside of little girl’s departments but recently I found a lot of Hello Kitty at Michael’s (which is a craft store). How bizarre, right?? Check out what I found!!

Image is a photo of a pale hand with a hello kitty temporary tattoo. The image has words and heart shapes added. The words read: Hello Cutie

I wore this on Valentine’s day.
It’s a temporary tattoo I got in a pack of Valentine’s day cards that were on sale!

Image is a photo of a pink gred and white box housing four adorable hello kitty 10oz glasses each one is a different design. The image has words added that read: Cute glass set

Aren’t these glasses awesome?
Only sucky thing is the pictures are not dishwasher safe >_<     Image is a photo of the back of the hello kitty 10oz glasses box. It is pink red and white with a strawberry theme and polka dots in white. The back shows a picture of each of the glass's images. There is text added to the photo that reads: Back of box

The back of the box!
It’s too cute not to show you, plus it has a good photo of all the glass’ designs

Image is a photo of a haul of many items from Michael's craft store. Included are a hello kitty journal in pink, a white journal with a heart and crown that has love written on it, a black space invaders beanie with multi-colored space invaders, two spools of ribbon: one is brown with pink heart outlines and one is pink with silver hello kitty faces, a pink pack of hello kitty crayons in cute colors, a pink pack of hello kitty playing cards, two packs of hello kitty cotton candy: one blue one pink, a set of hello kitty stickers, a pack of flower and mint colored gift labels, and 3 sets of 6 black space invaders pins with different colors on them. Text added to the picture reads: ok, not hello kitty but still cool. Items that are not hello kitty are marked.

I can’t believe Michael’s Craft store had so much awesome stuff!

  • 2 Journals, one white with heart and crown, and one Pink HK one
  • 2 HK cotton candy, one blue one pink (gave one as a gift)
  • Space Invader beanie (gifted). Did you ever play this game? It was so good back in the day)
  • 2 Ribbon spools, one is brown with pink heart outlines, one is pink with silver HK faces
  • HK crayon set (gifted) with cute color crayons.
  • HK playing cards. These are so cute you guys, they’re pink cards!
  • Non-HK cute gift labels, mint and white with pink flowers
  • HK stickers (gifted), these are nice glittery gold ones. Each one is different!
  • Space Invader pins (3 sets of 6) I used these to identify leaders during a game event I ran last month. We had a PC LAN, board games (dozens!!), PS3, 360, WII, Magic the Gathering, Pokemon Card Game, and lots of food! About 70 people came so I had to keep it organized ^_^

Image is loaded with the same items as the last, but this time only the hello kitty items are in it.

This is everything from the first picture that is HK only. See how cute? I feel so lucky!

What’s your favorite item from the haul?

Do you have any of these?

Do you like Sanrio characters? If so, who’s your favorite?

    Natasha,

I don’t go out too much but whenever I do, now it seems HK is everywhere! I saw HK sneakers at Journey just recently! (It was hard not to buy them :p)

    Arya,

Isn’t it awesome? I gave it as a gift to the daughter of one of my dear friends. She had just turned 1, and I like to give his children gamer stuff to indoctrinate them, lol.

I kinda wanted one for me too >_>

Little known fact about me, I’m REALLY good at space invaders. At one of the arcades we used to have in my area I had the top scores, and I also was in the top 10 on an online arcade as well (That one I was more proud of). Getting a high score on old arcade games sucks though because it takes SOOOOO LONNNNG. Hours!! It adds pressure because you know if you mess up you have a long way to start over, lol.

really awesome, I’m not good at playing online games but I always watch my brother playing them when we we’re kids and sometimes envy him so I hope the 1 year old kid will get into gaming too ahahaha. really cool to have a top score in a game and unlike now where you can save or pause game that your playing, back in the days it’s a great and powerful achievement and I guess kids envy you

    Arya,

I think most people are not good at games without a lot of practice, many people act like they don’t practice but they do in secret, hehe. Sometimes it’s relaxing and fun to watch others play too, I do that as well ^_^

If you ever get interested I say go for it, there are so many games there’s something out there for everyone today!

So cute. *w* That said, I’m less into Hello Kitty than I used to be. I’m a big fan of San-X’s Mamegoma, though. I have two little plushies and would love to get one of the giant pillow ones. I think the temporary tattoos are probably the cutest thing in the haul.

    Bethany,

I don’t know about San-X Mamegoma! I’ll have to look into that, because I love cute things. Thanks for talking about that!

I was so thrilled at how well the temp tattoos came out, they’re much nicer quality than I remember temp tattoos being when I was a kid!

Oh fond memories of Hello Kitty and the Sanrio store I grew up with. What isn’t enhanced by her cute face? I must say the glasses are too cute, I don’t think my hubby would appreciate me getting stuff like that. Hmmm, I think my daughter needs some more Hello Kitty stuff. Mwahahahahaha!

    Kim,

I love the glasses, I treat them as kind of a +1 bonus to my day if I need cheering up. I don’t use them for everyday because they must be handwashed and that sucks, but just looking at them can raise my mood a tad. I also like that each one is different ^_^

    You grew up near a Sanrio store? You were a LUCKY kid (;

One thing I want to find is Hello Kitty nerd glasses with the bow. Do you know which ones I mean? They’re so cute!!

  8. Magic Chic Says:

I admire how much Hello Kitty is appreciated in other countries besides Japan. In my country, when a company released a Hello Kitty themed products, people aren’t that crazy about buying them as much as in US. Doraemon is more famous here because it’s on local tv channel every Saturday since I was 7 years old. But I found that both extremely cute and irresistible to me. I love your HK tattoo, it did stick very evenly and cute! Nice HK haul dear.

    Tiffany Martin Reply:

    Shazil,

Thank you for your kind feedback ^_^ I didn’t know Doraemon aired outside of Japan!! I think he is cute too (:

In the USA Hello Kitty seems to be growing more popular. It used to be only for kids (American’s tastes tend to be that cute things are only for kids), but now grown women are seen with more Hello Kitty, including handbags and sneakers.

I love cute things so this is good news to me, because people with my tastes are sometimes thought to be immature, and now that’s changing (:

I was so glad the tattoo worked so well, when I was a kid we had tattoos like that but they were poor quality >:

I’m glad you stopped by it’s great to hear from you ^_^
